A School/LEA that signs up for this package may be in operation for fewer than 5 years, or have a fully licensed special education teacher without extensive experience, or have a newer school leader that is not as experienced in special education. School/LEAs that sign up for this package typically have fewer than 30 students with disabilities and a combined special education director/teacher position or have a high turnover rate of general education teachers. School/LEA is in Assisting or Guiding status in the results driven accountability letter from USBE. School/LEAs that sign up for this package that want access to expertise for complex situations, assistance with state reporting, and generally want help maintaining an effective, high quality special education program. The SpedCo Coach assigned to your School/LEA will make contact approximately twice monthly by online or onsite meeting.

A School/LEA with multiple sites may sign up with this package at each location. A School/LEA that signs up for this package has been in operation for fewer than 5 years or is in its first year of operation. The School/LEA has one or more teacher that is not fully licensed or in his/her first year of teaching or has a new school leader. School/LEAs that sign up for this package have fewer than 15 students with disabilities with no special education teacher, or more than 90 students with disabilities, or a prevalence rate greater than 15%. School/LEAs that sign up for this package have experienced dispute resolution activity during the prior school year (e.g., facilitated IEP, parent brought an advocate, parent filed a state complaint, parent filed a due process, parent required mediation, etc.). School/LEA is in Supporting, Coaching, or Directing status in the results driven accountability letter from USBE or has a UPIPS visit during the school year. School/LEAs that that sign up for this package require access to expertise for complex situations, assistance with state reporting, and need help creating and sustaining an effective, high quality special education system. The SpedCo Coach assigned to your School/LEA will make contact approximately twice weekly by online or onsite meeting.

A School/LEA with multiple sites may sign up with this package at each location. A School/LEA that signs up for this package has been in operation for fewer than 5 years, but has multiple, fully licensed special education teachers (or a single part-time teacher for a small School/LEA) that may not have extensive experience, or a newer school leader that is not as experienced in special education. School/LEAs that sign up for this package have between 31 - 90 students with disabilities or a prevalence rate greater than 15%. School/LEAs that sign up for this package have experienced an increase in dispute resolution activity over the past 2-3 years (e.g., facilitated IEP, parent brought an advocate, parent filed a state complaint, parent filed a due process, parent required mediation, etc.). School/LEA is in Assisting, Guiding, or Supporting status in the results driven accountability letter from USBE. School/LEAs that that sign up for this package want access to expertise for complex situations, assistance with state reporting, and need help creating effective, high quality special education systems. The SpedCo Coach assigned to your School/LEA will make contact approximately once weekly by online or onsite meeting.

A School/LEA with multiple sites may sign up with this package at each location. A School/LEA that signs up for this package does not have a licensed special education teacher. School/LEA’s that that sign up for this package require access to a licensed special education coach for help with the IEP process for up to 20 students. There is an additional cost per student over 20. This package may be combined with another package if the School/LEA requires additional assistance and multiple packages can be purchased rather than paying a cost per student over 20.
